The National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST) signed a business agreement on the 28th at the Sejong National Research Complex to establish a mutual cooperation system with Korea University Sejong Campus. Through this agreement, the two institutions agreed to build a comprehensive cooperation system that can contribute to future society and national and regional development and to expand practical exchanges and cooperation in education, research, and talent development. In particular, the two institutions plan to jointly establish a regional collaboration model, 'K-Thinking Tank,' encompassing education, urban, and industrial innovation through collaboration with the city of Sejong and government-funded research institutes.

The Korean Academy of Science and Technology announced that it will hold a discussion forum on the topic 'Our strategy toward becoming one of the top three AI nations' on the 29th at 3 p.m. The forum will be held simultaneously online and offline. The offline event will take place in the auditorium on the basement level 1 of the Academy's building, and it can be viewed online through the Academy's YouTube channel. The keynote presentations will feature Lee Kyung-woo, head of support from the National AI Commission, and Kim Jin-hyung, professor emeritus from the Department of Computer Science at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Designated discussions will include Seoul National University special professor Joo Young-seob, LG AI Research Director General Kim Yoo-cheol, 42MARU representative Kim Dong-hwan, Korea Energy Technology Institute director of Energy AI and Computational Science Lee Je-hyeon, and ZDNet Korea director general Bang Eun-joo.

The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies announced that it co-hosted a workshop with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization on 'NATO SPS (Science for Peace and Security)' at the International Space University (ISU) campus in Strasbourg, France, from the 23rd to the 25th. This workshop, themed 'The evolution of space for security and prosperity: risks, defense, and cooperation,' aimed to share the progress of the domestic space research program (SSP25) being held this year.

The 9th Korean Shipbuilding and Marine Industry CEO Forum, hosted by the Lloyd's Register Foundation Research Center at Seoul National University and the Korea Shipbuilding and Marine Plant Association, was held on the 26th at the Gwanak Campus in Seoul. This forum was held to assess the impact of U.S. shipbuilding and shipping policies and the Korea-U.S. shipbuilding cooperation promoted by the Trump II administration on the domestic industry and to explore countermeasures. Participants included 25 former and current industry representatives, including Lee Sang-kyun, president of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and chairman of the Korea Shipbuilding and Marine Plant Association, Hanwha Ocean president Kim Hee-cheol, and Nick Brown, the global CEO of Lloyd's Register.
