Yuhan Corporation's contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) subsidiary, Yuhan Chemical, announced on the 25th that it has secured a total production capacity of 995,000 liters with the completion of its factory in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.
The recent expansion of HB Bay-2 follows the completion of HB Bay-1 in November 2023, and the company expects it to enhance production capacity.
According to the company, the HB building at the Yuhan Chemical Hwaseong factory is equipped with flow chemistry facilities and a network system to ensure data integrity of production equipment. Yuhan Chemical has also secured a production base that can provide integrated, customized CDMO services from clinical trial small-batch production to commercial-scale production at the Hwaseong factory, following its Ansan factory.
CEO Lee Young-rae noted, "The completion of the HB building signifies that Yuhan Chemical has secured competitiveness to stand shoulder to shoulder with global CDMO corporations beyond merely expanding production capacity," and added, "We will continue to strengthen quality, technology, and eco-friendly production capabilities to provide greater value to our customers and society."
