Seonggwang Medical Foundation announced on the 21st that it has appointed Professor Kim Jae-hwa, an orthopedic surgeon, as the 12th president of CHAUM, part of the CHA hospital group. President Kim plans to focus on anti-aging and the globalization of Korean medicine.
President Kim graduated from Kyungpook National University School of Medicine, then trained at the National Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA. He joined Bundang CHA Hospital in 2002 and served as the 12th, 13th, and 14th president of Bundang CHA Hospital. While serving as the 10th president of Gumi CHA Hospital, he is credited with contributing to local healthcare issues by introducing a neonatal intensive care unit.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of CHAUM, which provides personalized healthcare. It manages lifestyle habits throughout life through disease, immunity, and dietary treatments, and anti-aging. President Kim noted, “I will provide patients with a differentiated experience beyond simple medical treatment.”
