On the 5th, Novo Nordisk Korea announced the appointment of Kasper Roseeuw Poulsen as the new General Manager.

Kasper Roseeuw Poulsen, the new General Manager, joined Novo Nordisk in 2006 and has received recognition for his leadership in finance, strategy, organizational development, and commercial partnerships and operations across Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific.

Until recently, he served as Vice President of finance and operations in the Novo Nordisk Asia-Pacific region (APAC region), overseeing more than 20 countries, and prior to that, he was the Chief Vice President (CVP) of the China branch.

After earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark, he completed a master's program in Finance & International Business.

General Manager Kasper Roseeuw Poulsen noted, "Korea is a key market in the Asia-Pacific region and a healthcare leader," adding, "We will strive to build closer and more sustainable collaborative relationships with Korean healthcare professionals and key healthcare partners to provide enhanced benefits to patients."

His predecessor, Sasha Semienchuk, who took office in October 2022, has been promoted to marketing CVP of Novo Nordisk's China branch, overseeing commercial activities across the mainland. He led the supply of various products including the obesity treatment Wegovy.

Additionally, Novo Nordisk Korea achieved the distinction of being recognized as a "Great Place to Work" and a "Best Workplace for Women" for two consecutive years. It also signed a memorandum of understanding for global clinical trial collaboration in the chronic disease area with major domestic medical institutions and established strategic partnerships with Kakao, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and Seoul Metropolitan Government, pushing forward various collaborative projects.
