Myongji Medical Foundation appointed Professor Kim Jin-goo as the 5th medical director and Professor Kim In-byeong as the 7th Myongji Hospital director on the 19th. Their terms will begin on the 24th of this month.

Newly appointed medical director Kim Jin-goo graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and served as the vice president of Inje University Seoul Paik Hospital and the head of the sports medicine center at Konkuk University Hospital. He took office as the director of Myongji Hospital in 2019, established an integrated treatment system for sports injuries, and worked hard to respond to and normalize treatment during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) that occurred during his tenure.

Newly appointed Myongji Hospital director Kim In-byeong graduated from Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine and contributed to improving the quality of medical services and the efficiency of medical staff management while serving as the vice director of Myongji Hospital.

In particular, he served as the head of the Emergency Medical Center for the Northwest Gyeonggi Province, playing a key role in treating severe emergency patients and providing rapid medical assistance during large-scale disasters, as well as leading proactive responses and emergency patient treatments during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also enhanced the efficiency of the emergency medical system while serving as the director of the Gyeonggi Emergency Medical Support Center and as the chairman of the Korean Society of Disaster Medicine. Currently, as the chairman of the Korean Society of Emergency Medicine, he is leading the development of emergency medicine and the establishment of the emergency medical system and policy development.
