Nongshim announced on the 30th that its curry specialty store, Coco Ichibanya, located at the Seolleung POSCO Center, has newly opened. Coco Ichibanya, the world's largest curry specialty store with over 1,400 locations in various countries, started with its first store in Nagoya, Japan, in 1978. In Korea, Nongshim oversees the operation and franchise business.
According to Nongshim, the Seolleung POSCO Center location (hereinafter referred to as Seolleung POSCO Center) opened on the 22nd. This location is a 10-minute walk from Seolleung Station on subway lines 2 and Bundang, situated in the largest office-dense area and busy district of Gangnam, Seoul. Notably, many corporations, financial institutions, and startups are located nearby, leading to a high weekday foot traffic and significant demand for office workers' meals.
In this context, Nongshim explained that Coco Ichibanya is well-suited to meet the time-sensitive demands of office workers. The restaurant features a customizable curry menu that allows patrons to choose toppings and spice levels, and it boasts a high turnover rate due to quick food service. Additionally, it is expected that families, friends, and couples will visit on weekends.
To celebrate the grand opening, the Seolleung POSCO Center location will hold a 100% winning roulette event for customers who verify their follow on Coco Ichibanya's social media. Prizes will include a box of Nongshim's new product Cleopatra Salt and Wasabi, a 30,000 won meal voucher for Coco Ichibanya, a bottle of Baiksan water, and topping coupons.
