SPC Group announced on the 18th that it has urgently provided 10,000 relief items, including 5,000 loaves of bread and 5,000 bottles of water, to the central region, including Dangjin in South Chungcheong Province, and the Honam region, including Gwangju in South Jeolla Province, which suffered damage from heavy rain.
The items were delivered through the Korean Red Cross. They are intended for use by disaster victims and relief workers who are facing difficulties due to the flooding. SPC Group plans to provide additional relief supplies to other affected areas in consultation with the Korean Red Cross.
SPC Group supports emergency relief supplies and donations in the event of disasters and calamities. In March of this year, it donated 300 million won for the recovery from the wildfires in North Gyeongsang Province, and has been donating either funds or relief items to regions suffering from disasters in Gyeonggi, Jeolla, and Chungcheong in 2024.
A representative of SPC Group said, "We supported the relief supplies to the areas affected by heavy rain at the request of the Korean Red Cross," and added, "We hope this will provide some assistance to the disaster victims and wish for a swift recovery from the damage."
