Coupang announced on the 6th that it is recruiting talent through its financial talent development program, the Coupang Finance Development Program (CFDP).
CFDP is an 18-month program designed to train financial professionals for those holding or soon to graduate with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Successful candidates in the selection process will secure full-time employment.
Participants will work for nine months each in two different teams within the Coupang Finance organization, gaining experience in finance practice areas such as finance, planning, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). After the program ends, they will be assigned to the team that best fits their capabilities and preferences. In the recruitment earlier this year, two individuals succeeded out of a competition ratio exceeding 50 to 1.
Coupang plans to recruit applicants for the second cohort of CFDP in the first half of next year. The expansion of the program into other institutional sectors beyond finance, as well as the possibility of international office exchanges and overseas local recruitment, is also being considered.
A Coupang official noted, "CFDP is a core program that supports talent in growing into leaders with a deep understanding of business through diverse practical experiences."
