Louis Vuitton Korea has released a statement regarding the incident involving the leakage of some customer information, including names and contact details.
According to the industry on the 4th, Louis Vuitton Korea stated in a notice on its website that "an unauthorized third party temporarily accessed our system and leaked some customer information." According to Louis Vuitton Korea, security-related incidents occurred twice on the 8th of last month and the 2nd.
Louis Vuitton Korea emphasized that "sensitive financial information such as passwords, credit cards, and bank accounts were not included."
Louis Vuitton Korea also stated, "We value trust and confidentiality with our customers above all else," and "This incident has currently been contained, and we are strengthening system security and collaborating with top experts in the field of cybersecurity."
It also advised, "We recommend that customers be particularly cautious of unexpected communications or suspicious contacts" and "Louis Vuitton does not ask customers for their passwords, so never share your Louis Vuitton password with others."
Previously, Dior and Tiffany, brands under LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy), also experienced personal information leakage incidents, prompting the Personal Information Protection Commission to begin investigations into these brands on the 1st of last month.
