Nongshim announced on the 30th that it will officially launch Shin Ramyun on the menu at a Korean food franchise store within the U.S. military base Fort Bliss.
Fort Bliss is a massive military base that hosts 170,000 personnel. At the Korean food franchise store CUPBOP located there, three Nongshim ramen menu items, including Shin Ramyun, Shin Ramyun Tumba, and Sun Ramyun, will be introduced.
The ramen will be cooked on-site with instant cooking machines. Various toppings, such as bulgogi, spicy stir-fried pork, and dumplings, can be added to the boiled ramen to suit personal preferences.
Starting with Fort Bliss, Nongshim plans to expand the ramen menu operations at major U.S. military bases, including Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson in Alaska and Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. The company also intends to collaborate with CUPBOP to promote K-food and Shin Ramyun not only in the U.S. but also globally through various activities.
Currently, CUPBOP operates 260 stores in the U.S. and Indonesia. This year, it plans to open additional stores in Canada and Dubai.
A representative from Nongshim's U.S. subsidiary noted, "U.S. military personnel come from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and are stationed in various countries around the world," adding, "We expect this collaboration to greatly contribute to enhancing the global brand recognition of Shin Ramyun."
