On the 27th, Emart announced that it will hold a 'taste recovery project' event, selling various summer seasonal and health foods, including mysterious peaches, fresh squid from the East Coast, and beef from heifers at a discount of up to 50%.
First, until the 29th, it will introduce mysterious peaches and fresh squid from the East Coast at ultra-low prices. Mysterious peaches are a variety that can be enjoyed for only about 2 weeks around this time of year. They are smooth on the outside like dough peaches, but the inside is white like white peaches.
Emart started securing the supply of mysterious peaches a month in advance, adding production areas in Upo, Gyeongnam, and Gimcheon, Gyeongbuk, this year. The company prepared about 160 tons exclusively for this event, aiming to provide maximum benefits to customers who have been waiting for the mysterious peach season for the past year.
There is also 'domestic fresh squid from the East Coast', another summer seasonal food. This is an opportunity to purchase it at an 'ultra-low price', even cheaper than Emart's average event price of around 3,000 won.
Since squid is a seasonal food in the summer, Emart actively worked to secure high-quality squid supplies. For the ultra-low price event, it collaborated with fishing ports along the East Coast to secure a maximum quantity of over 200,000 squid.
On hot days, beef to boost energy will also be offered at a shocking price. On the 28th, for just one day, all heifer beef will be available at up to 50% off when earning Shinsegae points. All items except for the sirloin will be discounted by 40%.
Additionally, until July 3rd, all items of Darling Down Wagyu beef (refrigerated, Australian beef) will be available at up to 40% off when earning Shinsegae points. The upper sirloin will be available for 40% off, while other items will be 30% cheaper.
Furthermore, Emart will continue its price stabilization project called 'price shock declaration' until the 29th of next month. Throughout July, popular products within Emart will be selected and divided into five grocery items and 50 processed and everyday items to be sold at ultra-low prices.
The five grocery items for this event will include 'king oyster mushrooms (2 packs),' 'mackerel (large, 1 hand),' 'stir-frying anchovies (500 won),' 'nutritional samgyetang (900 g),' and 'Pulmuone Danone Greek plain unsweetened (400 g*2).'
