Crown Haitai Confectionery announced on the 24th that its employees held the 'Osaka Expo Crown Haitai Hanum Concert' alongside Seoul Institute of the Arts students on the 22nd and 23rd at the Osaka Expo in Japan.
This performance was prepared to showcase the beauty of traditional Korean music to the world. In particular, it was an overseas performance presented for the international promotion of the '2025 Yeongdong World National Music Expo,' which will be held in September in Yeongdong, Chungbuk Province.
The outdoor performances held twice at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the 22nd took place at a pop-up stage near the Korean Pavilion at the Osaka Expo. The indoor performances, also held twice at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the 23rd, were conducted at the Festival Station, one of the main performance venues. Crown Haitai Confectionery explained that the audience seats were already packed before the performance began, and the audience responded positively to the beauty of traditional Korean music throughout the show.
The stage that day featured a performance by Crown Haitai Confectionery employees. Ms. Rituanatanavicienė, the government representative of the Lithuanian exhibition hall at the Osaka Expo, noted, "Although it was a performance by company employees, it was truly excellent and beautiful," adding, "I was deeply moved."
Additionally, overseas promotion for the 2025 Yeongdong World National Music Expo continued. During the performance, promotional brochures and souvenirs for the National Music Expo were distributed to international visitors. The main Expo programs, including traditional music invitation performances from over 30 countries, national music experience programs, and regional cultural events, were introduced while also showcasing the beauty of traditional Korean music.
Yoon Yeong-dal, chairman of Crown Haitai Confectionery, said, "I am proud that we can promote the beauty of traditional music and the 2025 Yeongdong World National Music Expo through our employees' overseas national music performance," and expressed his hope that more people from around the world would visit Yeongdong, Chungbuk Province, in September to enjoy the beautiful aroma of traditional Korean music together.
