Nongshim announced on the 13th that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 'Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center' at the Samnam Logistics Complex in Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, on the 12th. The ceremony was attended by about 100 people, including Lee Byeong-hak, CEO of Nongshim, Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, and local officials.
The Nongshim Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center will be built with a land area of approximately 46,700 square meters (about 14,000 pyeong) and a total floor area of about 166,700 square meters (about 50,000 pyeong), consisting of five above-ground floors. It aims to be completed in the first half of 2027. The total investment amount is approximately 229 billion won.
Nongshim plans to contribute to the local community during the construction and operation of the logistics center. About 4,300 jobs are expected to be generated during the construction period.
The Nongshim Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center will play a key role in supporting the expansion of Nongshim's logistics demand both domestically and internationally. Additionally, Nongshim plans to enhance the quality of logistics services in the Gyeongsang region centered around Ulsan by attracting distribution companies, including e-commerce.
A Nongshim official noted, 'The Nongshim Ulsan Samnam Logistics Center will be a forward base for Nongshim's export logistics, breathing together with the local economy and enhancing the status of K-Ramen worldwide.'
