Nha Trang, Vietnam, has been designated as the most preferred early summer travel destination for Korean travelers.
According to the digital travel platform Agoda on the 11th, an analysis of accommodation search data based on check-ins for June and July revealed that Nha Trang ranked first, followed by Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka in Japan, and Da Nang in Vietnam.
This analysis shows that Koreans are primarily seeking destinations in Japan and Vietnam, which are relatively close during the summer vacation season. According to Agoda's data for the first half of 2025, Korea has recorded the most visits to Vietnam and Japan this year.
Additionally, the Chinese government has implemented visa exemptions for Koreans, resulting in a significant increase in accommodation search volumes for Qingdao (+212%) and Shanghai (+207%).
According to Agoda, Jeju Island was ranked as the most searched domestic travel destination, followed by Seoul, Busan, Sokcho, and Gangneung. In particular, Sokcho and Gangneung have emerged as popular summer vacation spots since the opening of the Donghae Line at the end of last year, improving accessibility.
