On the 12th, Daesang announced that it will collaborate with the multiplex cinema Megabox to offer limited sales of 'Skippy peanut butter popcorn.'
'Skippy' is a product of the leading American food company Hormel Foods and boasts a 90-year tradition as the top global peanut butter brand. Since 2013, Daesang has been exclusively distributing Skippy's main products in Korea. The lineup is expanding, with representative products including 'Peanut Butter Creamy' and 'Peanut Butter Chunk,' and more recently, it has introduced 'Skippy No Sugar Added,' which contains no sugar or sugar substitutes.
The Skippy peanut butter popcorn, presented in collaboration with Megabox, is characterized by the addition of Skippy peanut butter's deep and rich flavor to Megabox's best-selling caramel popcorn. Using the differentiated know-how and technology from Daesang's food research institute, the Skippy Peanut Butter Creamy, which contains over 90% peanuts, was developed as seasoning for the popcorn.
A representative from Daesang noted, 'We introduced the Skippy peanut butter popcorn through a collaboration with Megabox to promote the taste of Skippy's representative product, Peanut Butter Creamy, in a unique way,' and added, 'As the domestic distributor of the global peanut butter brand Skippy, we will continue to carry out differentiated marketing activities so that more consumers can experience the diverse appeal of Skippy.'
