Canadian coffee specialty store Tim Hortons announced on the 10th that it will open three more locations this month.
With a 60-year history, Tim Hortons is the second-largest coffee brand in the world, targeting the domestic coffee market with a Canadian flair. Currently, Tim Hortons operates 19 directly managed stores, including its first directly operated store at Sinnonhyeon Station. The addition of three more stores is expected to accelerate its expansion in Korea.
In particular, local menus such as "double-double," "original iced cappuccino," and "honey cruller," which could only be enjoyed in Canada, have been introduced. According to Tim Hortons, the "Montreal" product from this year's City campaign showed a sales rate more than 250% higher than expected.
Food items like melts and sandwiches are cooked to order. Earlier, in March, Tim Hortons opened Tim's Kitchen at Lotte World Mall. This is a specialized space where customers can see and experience the process.
A representative from Tim Hortons said, "We aim to open more than 150 stores in the Korean market by 2028" and noted, "We will successfully lead the franchise business, which is in the full-scale phase, to enable many consumers to experience Tim Hortons."
