The leaked personal information this time includes customer names, email addresses, and country information, while credit card and other banking information are reported to be unaffected.

Cartier is reported to have recognized this incident recently and taken measures to strengthen its internal system security.

This year, luxury brands have been consecutively experiencing data breaches, leading to growing criticism of luxury brands' lax security systems.

A data breach occurred at Dior in January, which was recognized on the 7th of last month, prompting a response. The luxury jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. only recognized and reported a data breach that occurred in April last month. All of these brands belong to the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) group.

Dior and Tiffany operate customer management services based on Software as a Service (SaaS), and it has been reported that issues such as employee accounts being hacked have arisen during this process. Although SaaS is convenient to use, vulnerabilities in security are cited due to insufficient IP access control and neglect of insider account management.
