Paik Jong-won, the CEO of Theborn Korea, resumed his YouTube activities three weeks after declaring a suspension of his broadcasting activities. This move appears to be an attempt to turn around the situation amid recent controversies that have impacted sales, using content featuring franchise owners.

According to the industry, since Nov. 30, the official YouTube channel 'Paik Jong-won' has uploaded short videos promoting franchises operated by Theborn Korea.

Videos starting with the phrase "I am a franchise owner of OO" feature owners operating brands such as Yeondong Bolkatsu, Makiorum, Yeokjeon Udon, Rolling Pasta, Hong Kong Banjum, and Saemaul Restaurant, who directly promote their stores.

Each video includes a message that comments are disabled to inform viewers that malicious secondary use, such as speculation and defamation against franchise owners, may constitute a violation of portrait rights and copyright.

Recently, as Theborn Korea faced significant sales impacts due to various controversies, it seems that franchise owners have stepped up to rebuild their image and increase sales.

Earlier, as controversies surrounding him continued, Paik Jong-won announced on Dec. 6 that he would halt all broadcasting activities to concentrate on management. He then announced a support plan for franchise owners worth 30 billion won and stated that he would establish a win-win committee to collaborate with franchise owners.

At that time, Paik Jong-won stated that as part of his promise of 'not leaving behind a single franchise owner,' he would support all funds related to the formation and operation of the win-win committee through personal contributions.

Theborn Korea held its first preparatory meeting for the establishment of the win-win committee on Dec. 29. The committee will serve as a communication channel involving a franchise owner council, headquarters staff, and external experts, gathering on-site opinions regularly and discussing the direction of headquarters policies.

In relation to the launch of the win-win committee, Theborn Korea officially requested consulting services from the law firm Deoksu, which has represented the rights of small business owners.
