Coupang Fulfillment Services (CFS) announced on the 1st that it held the 2025 WCRC (World Creative Robot Contest) logistics robot competition in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency.

The competition, held from the 29th to 30th of last month at Daegu Korea Polytechnic University’s Yeongnam Convergence Technology Campus, attracted over 100 teams, including high school and university students. The participating teams executed missions for automatic classification based on computer vision color and order recognition, as well as intelligent transport missions utilizing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) information.

Winning teams in each institutional sector received over 20 awards, including those from the Minister of Science and ICT, the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and the President of Coupang Fulfillment Services. Additionally, they were given the opportunity to represent Korea at the Robogames, the world's largest robotics competition.

This event marked the first logistics robot competition hosted by CFS, which offered selected participants special privileges, including additional points in the hiring process. CFS plans to continue providing support to identify talent in artificial intelligence (AI) technology within the logistics robot sector at an early stage.

CFS CEO Jeong Jong-cheol noted, "We will provide practical benefits during the hiring process to ensure that the competition winners can lead Coupang's artificial intelligence and logistics innovations."
