Nongshim announced on the 29th that it collaborated with the U.S. Korean cuisine franchise “CUPBOP (hereinafter referred to as Cupbop)” to hold events such as “Cupbop Day” and “Cupbop in High School” in the U.S. state of Utah. At the event, Nongshim showcased the “Shin Ramyun Toomba” to convey the appeal of K-food.

According to Nongshim, Cupbop Day was held on the 21st at a Saratoga location. On the 22nd, another event was conducted at Corner Canyon High School in Utah for students. Nongshim provided the Shin Ramyun Toomba topped with Bulgogi, Stir-fried Pork, and Japchae.

Cupbop, which collaborated with Nongshim this time, started as a food truck in the U.S. in 2013 and gained popularity locally with its Cupbop menu. It currently operates 260 locations in the U.S. and Indonesia, and is also planning to expand into Canada and Dubai this year.

Previously, Nongshim conducted a collaborative event titled “Seoul in the City” with four Korean restaurants in New York. It also operated a “Shin Ramyun Snack” at Machu Picchu in Peru. The Cupbop Day introduced in Utah, U.S., seems to be aimed at broadening connections with overseas consumers.

A representative from Nongshim said, “We have achieved success in promoting the spicy taste of Shin Ramyun widely in collaboration with ‘Cupbop’, which spreads K-food to the world,” and noted, “We will continue to engage in various collaborations to promote Shin Ramyun as a representative brand of K-food, and implement marketing that brings us one step closer to local consumers.”
