On the 28th, the comprehensive food company OURHOME announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Samyang Foods to advance future food culture. It seems that OURHOME, acquired by Hanwha Group, is working to enhance its competitiveness in the group meal business and explore new business opportunities.
According to OURHOME, this agreement was established to strengthen collaboration by combining OURHOME's menu development capabilities with Samyang Foods' product and brand preferences, providing new culinary experiences for corporate cafeteria customers. Participants in the signing ceremony included Yang Jeong-ik, head of OURHOME's Group Meal (MCP) division, and Kim Yong-ho, head of Samyang Foods' Korean headquarters.
Samyang Foods is a representative food company that has led the global K (Korean) noodle craze with its "Buldak Bokkeum Myun." OURHOME plans to differentiate its corporate cafeteria menu based on the popularity and brand influence of Samyang Foods' products.
The two companies plan to continue their collaboration on overall marketing activities, including the development of co-branded menus using popular Samyang Foods products, setting up event booths, and distributing merchandise as part of the "Ohmazing Recipe" campaign. The Ohmazing Recipe features unique cafeteria menus and participatory events that OURHOME showcases through collaborations within and outside the industry.
A representative from Samyang Foods noted, "We expect to provide customers with a unique enjoyment through a corporate cafeteria menu reinterpreting Samyang Foods' popular products," adding, "Through our collaboration with OURHOME, we aim to convey new brand values and expand our touchpoints with consumers."
OURHOME also plans to focus on food culture innovation and enhancing customer experience as a result of this agreement. A representative from OURHOME stated, "We will continue to communicate with customers and showcase diverse food culture through collaborations with chefs, influencers, and food brands."
