Convenience store Seven Eleven announced on the 25th that it will enhance its lineup of low-capacity basic cosmetics products with high cost-effectiveness (quality vs. price).
Seven Eleven released a sunblock cream (50㎖) without a companion on the 9th and launched two types of Medifill single-use stick pouches and pore lifting shot serum on the 21st. The price range for all is between 3,000 and 4,000 won.
On the 28th, Seven Eleven will exclusively sell four types of basic cosmetics in partnership with the beauty brand wants of HK.inno.N, a subsidiary of Kolmar Korea, a specialist in research and development of cosmetics. These include PDRN peel-off mask packs, glutathione micro-stimulating serum, and Cica collagen lifting cream and calming pads. Seven Eleven explained that all are packaged in single-use, low-capacity pouches to enhance convenience and portability.
Seven Eleven plans to strengthen its competitiveness in the cosmetics sector, which is emerging as a new source of revenue in the convenience store industry, thereby solidifying its position as a lifestyle beauty platform.
Kwon Ju-hee, a product planner (MD) at Seven Eleven's Seven Collect team, noted, “The convenience store has better accessibility compared to other distribution channels, and the demand for basic cosmetics, which are used frequently, is expected to increase in the medium to long term.” She added, “Accordingly, we plan to continuously launch differentiated products at reasonable prices.”
