GS Retail's convenience store GS25 has announced on the 25th that its 'ice brûlée vanilla,' introduced in collaboration with the dessert specialty brand LOROMELLO on the 15th, achieved a maximum daily sales of 120 million won. This is the highest daily sales record ever for GS25 ice cream products. The product has quickly risen to become the top-selling ice cream item.
Ice brûlée is a product developed in the form of chilled ice cream from the premium dessert crème brûlée. It was first introduced in South Korea as a must-have item for trips to Japan, and recently gained popularity again through social media, particularly driven by notable celebrities.
Lee Joo-yong, GS25's ice cream merchandise director, noted, "We were able to achieve this success by quickly capturing the latest trends and launching ice brûlée as the first in the industry," and added, "The 10-20 generation tends to use social media as a search platform and consume products based on the information they gather there, so we plan to quickly read the latest trends and introduce a variety of products swiftly."
