Coupang announced on the 18th that it is expanding health support measures for mental health management for employees.
According to Coupang that day, it is strengthening various mental health programs centered around its in-house health promotion center, "Coupang Care Center." The Coupang Care Center is a comprehensive health management space that checks mental and physical health status through consultations with resident nurses and provides 1:1 tailored counseling.
Since last month until the end of this month, Coupang has conducted 11 workshops for employees called "Ilma-Bal" (finding balance between work and mental health). It provided work adaptation assessments along with stress prevention methods and work solutions through counseling psychologists.
Starting this year, the number and scope of psychological counseling sessions are being expanded so that employee families can also benefit. Since the introduction of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for systematic mental health management last year, the number of counseling subjects has increased.
Coupang and subsidiary employees can receive annual counseling 12 times at over 1,300 psychological counseling offices nationwide. All consultations are guaranteed to be confidential.
In addition, with the recently introduced stress measurement devices, employees can measure their stress index and burnout index, and receive customized counseling based on the results.
Ryan Brown, Vice President in charge of Environmental Health and Safety at Coupang, noted, "The most important value for the sustainable growth of corporations is people," and stated that he would continue to invest in employee health and safety.
