It has been confirmed that customer personal information has been leaked from Adidas.
On the 16th, Adidas Korea notified customers that it has learned that some data related to Adidas customers has been leaked to unauthorized third parties.
According to the investigation results so far, the compromised data is believed to pertain to information from some consumers who contacted the Adidas customer service center in 2024 or earlier. The company stated that it includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, and in some cases, dates of birth and addresses.
However, financial information such as passwords and payment-related information was not included. The company explained that it has proactively completed individual notifications to affected consumers in Korea.
Adidas said, 'We recognize this matter very seriously and are collaborating immediately with information security specialists to conduct a comprehensive investigation and have reported the matter to relevant authorities.' It added, 'We have implemented additional security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.'
Earlier, French luxury brand Dior also experienced a data leak of Korean customers' personal information. Dior stated through an official notice on the 13th, 'On the 7th, we discovered that an unauthorized third party accessed some customer data held by us,' and 'We have taken measures to contain the breach incident that occurred on January 26.'
