Nongshim's initial shipment of about 1 million units of 'Shin Ramyeon Tumba' launched in Japan sold out within two weeks.

On the 14th, Nongshim noted, "We are receiving great feedback for our differentiated taste, which is hard to find in the Japanese ramen market, and the convenience of microwave cooking." Previously, Nongshim launched Shin Ramyeon Tumba cup noodles at 'Seven-Eleven,' the number one convenience store chain in Japan, in April. The company is currently negotiating with Japan's Seven-Eleven for additional supplies and increased quantities.

Due to the popularity of the cup noodles, Nongshim will sequentially release Shin Ramyeon Tumba bag noodles to Japanese retailers. The bag noodles will first be introduced in the third quarter at specialty import food stores (such as Aeon Cafelante and Kaldi), with plans to enter nationwide distribution stores in the fourth quarter.
