APR announced on the 8th that its first-quarter performance is estimated at 266 billion won in sales and 54.6 billion won in operating profit. This represents increases of 78.6% and 97%, respectively, compared to the same period last year, breaking records for the highest figures in any quarter to date.
Sales in the cosmetics and beauty institutional sector reached 165 billion won, marking a 152% increase compared to the same period last year. The flagship beauty brand "MediCube" has gained tremendous popularity in overseas markets, with strong sales of the consistently popular model "Zero Pore Pad" and the collagen skincare line, which has been particularly well-received in Western countries.
The beauty device institutional sector recorded sales of 90.9 billion won, a 36% increase compared to the same period last year. Products including "Booster Pro," "Ultra Tune 40.68," and "HighFocus Shot" consistently sold well, and limited-edition products that collaborated with popular characters, such as the "Booster Pro Kuromi Edition" and "Booster Pro Mini Chun-Sik Edition," received positive responses.
APR's overseas sales in the first quarter amounted to approximately 190 billion won, a growth of 186% compared to the same period last year. The proportion of overseas sales also rose to 71%.
An APR official noted, "We will continue to strive for rapid growth centered on cosmetics, beauty devices, and the overseas market."
