GS Retail operates the convenience store GS25, and it announced on the 8th that its flagship store 'Door to Seongsu,' which was first introduced in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, has surpassed 1 million cumulative visitors after 30 months of opening.

'Door to Seongsu' is the flagship store opened by GS25 under the 'Door to' brand. It opened in November 2023, embodying the meaning of opening a new path for convenience stores and showcasing the diverse appearance of Seongsu, which is different day and night.

Considering the unique characteristics of the Seongsu-dong commercial area and the fact that its customer base is primarily composed of the MZ generation, GS25 has developed the store as a large convenience store of 50 pyeong, creating dedicated space for pop-up store operations, including a large exhibition booth in the store's front center for maximum visibility.

As of the end of April, a total of 45 brands have conducted pop-ups, and the cumulative number of visitors has exceeded 1 million, averaging about 1,100 visitors to 'Door to Seongsu' each day. Customers in their 20s and 30s made up more than 80% of the total customer base, while the proportion of foreign visitors exceeded that of regular stores by more than six times.

GS25 noted, "It is interpreted that diversifying collaboration areas with global brands such as Netflix, Galaxy, Coca-Cola, and Guinness, in addition to collaborations with well-known domestic brands in major convenience store items like alcoholic beverages and food, has driven the success."

Lee Jeong-pyo, head of marketing at GS Retail, said, "GS25 is evolving into a landmark K-convenience store that attracts not only domestic customers but also international ones, centering on Door to Seongsu and sports-specialized stores," adding, "We aim to enhance a new marketing strategy that fills the convenience store space with diverse content, evolving into a lifestyle culture platform rather than just a retail store."
