LOTTE HIMART recorded total sales of 665.4 billion won in the first quarter, an increase of 3.4% compared to last year. This represents a shift to a growth trend after 3 years and 7 months since July 2021.
Operating profit recorded a loss of 11.1 billion won, which is an improvement of about 5 billion won from the previous year.
LOTTE HIMART noted that the biggest reason for the negative operating profit in the first quarter was the high sales of low-margin mobile and IT appliances during this period, and explained, "We are also working to fundamentally improve this first-quarter structure in terms of profitability."
Meanwhile, LOTTE HIMART set its sales target at 2.3 trillion won and operating profit at 10 billion won for this year.
