Daesang announced on the 1st that it has launched two new low-sugar, low-calorie Hongcho products under the Clean One brand.
The new products introduced this time are low-sugar red apple and low-sugar lemon & lime. Both products use allulose, developed and produced directly by Daesang, as a substitute for sugar. They are characterized by significantly reducing sugar and calories, making them lighter to consume.
Both products were released in 1.5ℓ and 900㎖ sizes. They are available for purchase on e-commerce platforms such as Kurly and Coupang, as well as in large supermarkets, including Emart.
The low-sugar red apple retains the fresh taste and aroma of well-ripened red apples, maintaining a sweet and sour flavor. The sugar content is reduced to 3g per 100g, and the calories have been lowered to 37 kcal.
The low-sugar lemon & lime is characterized by maximizing the freshness of the lemon and lime blend. It contains 2g of sugar and 25 kcal per 100g. The sugar content has been reduced by 74% and calories by 56% compared to standard values.
Go Bong-gwan, the team leader of Daesang's convenience sauce team, noted, “We will strive to establish Hongcho, which is loved even more in summer, as an essential product for consumers' healthy lifestyles.”
