McDonald's Korea achieved record-high sales last year, returning to profitability for the first time in eight years.

According to the audit report disclosed by McDonald's Korea on the Financial Supervisory Service electronic disclosure system on the 29th, sales last year totaled 1.25 trillion won. This sales figure represents an 11.8% increase compared to the previous year, setting an all-time high.

Total sales, including franchisees, also increased. Last year's total sales, including franchisees, were 1.409 trillion won, a 9.1% rise from the previous year. During the same period, operating profit was 11.7 billion won, and net profit was 115.3 billion won. Donations increased by about 40% compared to the previous year, totaling 1 billion won.

McDonald's Korea attributed its shift to profitability after eight years and record-high sales to menu development, improvements in service quality, new store openings, asset portfolio restructuring, and management efficiency. Additionally, McDonald's Korea analyzed that its ongoing customer-centric initiatives and continuous investment in the domestic market have been effective.

A representative of McDonald's Korea noted, “Consistent investment in quality and service to meet customer expectations has led to positive results,” and added, “We will continue to prioritize customer-centric values and strive for sustainable growth from a long-term perspective.”
