Coupang announced on the 23rd that it participated in the '2025 International Logistics Industry Exhibition' hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to introduce its logistics system utilizing artificial intelligence (AI).

The International Logistics Industry Exhibition, taking place from the 22nd to the 25th at the Ilsan KINTEX Exhibition Center, is the largest exhibition in Korea that provides insight into future technologies and trends in the logistics industry, with over 150 logistics companies participating and more than 750 booths set up.

During the event, Coupang will operate a booth themed 'A world created by Coupang with AI.' Coupang's AI and machine learning optimize inventory management by predicting the demand for tens of millions of products in advance, moving items expected to be purchased by consumers to nearby logistics centers for same-day or next-day delivery.

AI and automation technologies play a key role in enhancing the efficiency of logistics center operations. The logistics process incorporates advanced technologies such as 'Random Stow', which guides optimal display locations and worker pathways upon the arrival of goods, 'Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)', which help by moving shelves of displayed items closer to workers for easier access, and 'Sorting Robots', which automatically categorize products based on delivery locations. It also showcases how AI recommends the optimal loading positions within delivery vehicles and the most efficient delivery routes, ensuring quick and accurate delivery.

A Coupang official noted, 'Coupang has established an innovative logistics process by deeply utilizing AI technology throughout the entire logistics process from order prediction to delivery completion, based on vast data of trillions of data points. We will continue to do our best to usher in an era of rocket delivery for the entire nation through ongoing technological innovation.'
