Hans Farm Co., Ltd.'s Bongpyeong Buckwheat Soju received the grand award in the premium soju and distilled soju category under 26 degrees at the Korea Wine & Spirits Awards 2025. This is the second award following the grand award received for Bongpyeong Buckwheat Makgeolli in the Korean rice wine category at the Korea Wine & Spirits Awards 2023.

The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is the representative liquor competition in South Korea, marking its 12th year this year. Organized by ChosunBiz since 2014 with the aim of 'discovering good domestic liquor, promoting it widely, and supporting the formation of a sound liquor culture,' it is the largest competition for comprehensive alcoholic beverages in the country. This year, 236 companies submitted a total of 1,008 brands, among which 431 brands received the grand award.

Bongpyeong Buckwheat Soju is a newly launched distilled soju from Hans Farm, made with locally sourced ingredients cultivated in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province. The alcohol content is 25 degrees. With 4.1% domestic buckwheat included, which is produced in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, it is characterized by the unique savory taste and aroma of buckwheat. The product is available for purchase online.

Go Geon-joo, the factory manager of Hans Farm, noted, 'We are preparing for the export of Bongpyeong Buckwheat Soju to Indonesia' and added, 'We will strive for our traditional liquor to be loved worldwide, beyond the Pyeongchang region of Gangwon Province.'
