Convenience store Seven Eleven is launching 'LOTTE Bread' for fans of the Lotte Giants baseball team. This is interpreted as a response to the absence of the Lotte Giants in the recently popular so-called 'KBO Bread.'

According to Seven Eleven on the 18th, next month, it will launch a red bean bread product of the Lotte Giants under its private brand (PB) 'Seven Select.' The manufacturer is LOTTE Wellfood, and the price will be set at 1,900 won.

The product will include 120 stickers featuring players from the Lotte Giants. A Seven Eleven official noted, 'We plan to showcase the Lotte Giants bread product as a PB item under Seven Select in early next month,' adding, 'We are also considering expanding the product lineup after launching the red bean bread first.'

On the 20th of last month, the baking company SPC Samlip collaborated with the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) to unveil 'KBO Bread.' The product includes 215 types of stickers featuring representatives and mascots of each team.

'KBO Bread' achieved great popularity, selling 1 million units just three days after its launch. However, it only featured products from nine teams, excluding the Lotte Giants, which disappointed their fans.

It seems that LOTTE Wellfood, a subsidiary of Lotte, has had difficulty cooperating with the launch of products from competitor SPC Samlip due to its involvement in the baking business. Last year, when Haitai Confectionery partnered with the KBO to launch a regionally limited edition Home Run Ball for baseball fans, the Lotte Giants were also excluded.
