Shinsegae Group's e-commerce platform SSG.com appointed actor Cha Eun-woo as the exclusive model for its beauty specialty section and announced the launch of the 'Beauty of SSG' brand campaign on the 17th.
The Beauty of SSG conveys the meaning that all cosmetics in the world can be accessed in the beauty specialty section.
The brand campaign video was released earlier that morning. It features a striking video starting with Cha Eun-woo's red lipstick, expressing the will to expand its reach as a beauty platform favored by the younger generation in their 20s and 30s.
The social media (SNS) marketing launched earlier this month, utilizing Cha Eun-woo's English name 'Felix', received over 1 million 'likes' within two weeks. The number of subscribers to the official SSG.com beauty account on Instagram also doubled.
As of the end of last month, SSG.com’s beauty specialty section is selling products from 2,000 brands, both domestic and international, totaling 1 million items. Collaboration with small and medium-sized cosmetic brands is also being strengthened. This month, to expand the distribution channels for small brands, the largest cosmetics discount event of the year, 'Beauty SSG Sale', will also be held.
