The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 16th that, following an investigation into the UV blocking ingredients (4-methylbenzylidene camphor, 4-MBC) of 40 sunscreen products distributed in the market, 2 products exceeded the usage limit.

The products that exceeded the 4-MBC usage limit (4%) in this investigation are "DIO Mer Daily Sunscreen" and "Barangsori Bodamdodam Haeoreum Screening."

The responsible seller of the products, Chocolate Cosmetic Co., Ltd., has completed the suspension of sales and disposal of inventory according to the corrective recommendations from the Korea Consumer Agency, and has decided to refund the purchase price for sold products.

The Korea Consumer Agency urged consumers who purchased the products to immediately stop using them and to apply for consultation through the 1372 Consumer Counseling Center (call 1372 without area code) or Consumer 24 if they experience damage due to the products.
