Emart announced on the 16th that it will conduct a 20% discount event on six types of its ready-to-eat and processed products developed in collaboration with Yeongdeok County, Gyeongsangbuk-do, from the 18th to the 30th.

Pikok X Yeongdeok Red Crab is Emart's first Loconomy product. Loconomy is a combination of 'local' and 'economy,' referring to consumption activities related to products using local specialties.

During this event period, Emart will sell its representative product, 'Pikok Yeongdeok Chewy Crab Meat Jeon (360g),' to customers earning Shinsegae points at a price of 5,584 won, discounted from its regular price of 6,980 won. The traditional 'Pikok Crab Coconut Cream Curry (400g),' which contains lobster meat and red crab meat in coconut cream, is also offered at a discounted price of 4,784 won.

Additionally, 'Pikok Red Crab Chips (200g)' will be sold at the event price of 1,984 won. 'Pikok Crab Shell Flavor Fried Rice (425.52g),' 'Pikok Crispy and Moist Crab Cream Croquette (300g),' and 'Pikok Crab Soup (350g)' can also be purchased for 4,784 won each.

'Pikok Red Crab Chips' sold about 30,000 units from its launch on the 16th of last month until April 16, surpassing 30% of its annual target in just over a month. Furthermore, 'Pikok Crab Shell Flavor Fried Rice' sold 2,100 units in three weeks since its launch, outpacing the sales of other popular Pikok frozen rice products, including chicken galbi fried rice and perilla oil vegetable rice.

Park Seon-mi, a buyer for Pikok, noted, "The products developed for the first time through collaboration with the region have high marketability and favorable customer responses," adding that they are preparing other products utilizing Yeongdeok red crab and will continue to discover various local specialties for collaboration.
