Choi Byeong-o, chairman of the Korea Textile Industry Association (섬산련), is taking steps to strengthen the textile industry partnership between South Korea and Taiwan.

According to 섬산련 on the 15th, Chairman Choi will attend the '19th Korea-Taiwan Textile Industry Annual Meeting' held at the Wyndham Sun Moon Lake Hotel in Nantou, Taiwan, until the 18th.

A total of 44 Taiwanese textile fashion officials, including Kuo Shao-yi, chairman of the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), will meet with more than 40 leaders from the Korean textile fashion industry to seek synergies in the textile fashion industry between the two countries.

The main agenda items for this meeting include: △ current status of the Korea-Taiwan textile industry and tariff policies during the Trump era △ building mutually beneficial partnerships to enhance future competitiveness △ new challenges for the Korean textile fashion industry.

Additionally, Singtex and New Wide Group from Taiwan will present successful cooperation cases with Korean textile fashion companies, and Kyung-eun Industry, WELCRON, and Awesome Ray will share successful applications of industrial textiles, including automotive medical carbon fiber.

Furthermore, information exchange on the sustainability of the textile value chain and the digital transformation of the textile fashion industry will also take place.
