The Korea Consumer Agency noted on the 11th that after Balaan decided to initiate corporate rehabilitation procedures, there have been cases where the refund process does not proceed smoothly when consumers request returns, urging consumers to be cautious.

Balaan has expressed its intention to actively respond to return and refund requests through its shopping mall. However, the Korea Consumer Agency stated that Balaan is currently undergoing corporate rehabilitation procedures, and issues related to settling payment with sellers have not been resolved.

The Korea Consumer Agency explained that if consumers return products at the request of sellers or proceed with return procedures due to defects, difficulties may arise in refunding the purchase amount. It also urged consumers to respond cautiously while monitoring the progress of the corporate rehabilitation procedures.

Consumers who have not received their items and have not been refunded can file a claim with the Seoul Rehabilitation Court from the 19th to the 9th of next month. If the payment was made by credit card in installments, it is necessary to meet certain requirements (such as 200,000 won or more, installment period of three months or more) to request a suspension of installment payments from the credit card company, so the Korea Consumer Agency emphasized the need to pay attention to related procedures.

The Korea Consumer Agency stated, "If you need assistance with complaints, you can inquire about response methods or receive counseling from the 1372 Consumer Counseling Center."
