CJ announced on the 10th that it will recruit for its global open innovation program 'CJ Gloventus Phase 3' to discover promising startups for entry into the United States and enable global scale-up.

In this Phase 3 program, Alchemist, a global accelerator specializing in B2B (business-to-business) startups based in Silicon Valley, will directly conduct development programs. The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center will also participate as a co-organizer.

CJ will oversee the entire program, from discovering startups to selection and global accelerating, and plans to review business connections and investment for outstanding performance corporations.

Any startup planning to enter the U.S. based on a distinctive business model and technology can apply for CJ Gloventus. Additionally, startups that are being invested in by CJ Group and the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center, or corporations that have been selected and completed the startup nurturing program 'Oventus' can be exempted from the first document screening as long as they meet the basic requirements.

Those selected among the top three teams in this CJ Gloventus will have the opportunity to participate in the 'SV Immersion Week' held locally in Silicon Valley and meet directly with global partners and investors.

A CJ official noted, 'This year, we planned to target the United States, which has the highest demand among the regions for startups' global expansion aspirations, and we will continue to strive to enable domestic startups to expand their global business through connections with global corporations.'
