LOTTE Wellfood announced on the 9th that the export amount of its sugar-free and low-calorie brand "ZERO" in the first quarter of this year increased by about four times (314%) compared to the same period last year. With the increase in export volume, ZERO accounted for more than 10% of total brand sales from overseas.
ZERO began exporting in July 2023 and has expanded its export destinations to 13 countries. This year, the company plans to promote the ZERO brand in even more countries, including Kazakhstan and Peru.
ZERO is currently focusing on the Chinese market. LOTTE Wellfood started selling its household multi-pack ice cream "ZERO Mini Bite Milk & Choco" at all seven Costco locations in China last month. This is the first time LOTTE Wellfood's ice cream products have been available at overseas Costco stores.
"ZERO Mini Bite Milk & Choco" gained popularity primarily on social media platforms like TikTok immediately after its launch, and additional orders were made three weeks after its release. Through the second export of ZERO, LOTTE Wellfood plans to introduce "ZERO Mini Bite Milk & Choco" along with "ZERO Cookie & Cream" bar ice cream.
A LOTTE Wellfood official noted, "As consumer interest in sugar intake increases worldwide, it has positively impacted the export of the ZERO brand," and added, "We will conduct various marketing strategies to develop the ZERO brand into a second Pocky."
