KFC announced on the 8th that it has raised prices on some menu items, including chicken and burgers, by 100 to 300 won.

KFC noted through a notice on its website that "due to the rise in raw material prices and other expenses, it has become unavoidable to adjust the prices of some menu items starting from this day." This marks the first increase in 10 months since last June. At that time, KFC raised menu prices by about 100 to 300 won, citing increases in labor costs and delivery fees.

As a result of this price adjustment, the prices of KFC's signature items, hot crispy chicken and original chicken, will be increased by 300 won each based on three pieces. However, the prices of the Zinger burger and Zinger burger set will remain unchanged.

Last year, KFC recorded its largest-ever sales and operating profit. KFC's operating profit last year was 16.4 billion won, an increase of about 469% compared to the previous year. Sales increased by about 18%, reaching 292.3 billion won.
