Lotte Mart announced on the 3rd that it has launched an online grocery shopping exclusive application called 'Lotte Mart Zeta.'
This is the first result since establishing a partnership with the British global retail technology corporation Ocado in November 2022 to create an integrated solution called 'Ocado Smart Platform (OSP)' that encompasses the entire process of online grocery ordering and delivery.
Lotte Mart Zeta offers a personalized shopping experience based on artificial intelligence (AI). It features a 'smart cart' that not only provides simple product recommendations but also selects the items that the customer wants.
By comprehensively analyzing the customer’s past purchase history, consumption tendencies, and purchasing cycles, it completes a cart tailored to the customer's preferences within 10 seconds of clicking.
When the customer selects a delivery time, there is also a function that analyzes the stock quantities by store and the sales trends of products, displaying the items available for purchase at that time. This is a step forward from only being able to check stock at the time of purchase.
In the future, Lotte Mart plans to enhance functionality by having AI analyze users’ purchasing tendencies, cycles, and preferred products to display customized items on the main screen.
To commemorate the app launch, Lotte Mart offers a discount of 10,000 won for purchases over 40,000 won for all customers.
Items from the online and offline integrated founding anniversary event 'Thank You Day' that begins today can also be purchased at the same price through the app.
Following this app launch, Lotte Mart plans to complete the Busan Automated Logistics Center in the first half of next year to introduce innovative delivery services and differentiated products.
The automated logistics center minimizes the time from customer ordering to delivery by utilizing AI and robots.
Lotte Mart introduced that it has a complete cold chain system throughout the entire distribution process, from product movement to storage, sorting, and packaging, and operates delivery time slots every two hours from early morning to late night to maintain optimal product freshness.
