BKR, which operates the hamburger brand Burger King and the Canadian coffee brand Tim Hortons, announced on the 2nd that it has appointed Jang Yu-taek as the head of its external cooperation division.
According to BKR, the newly appointed Jang Yu-taek has a background as a journalist at the Korea Economic Daily and has served as the vice president of OB and as an executive director at BAT Korea. BKR noted that he is an expert in the field of external cooperation, overseeing government relations, media promotion, and corporate social responsibility.
BKR added that this appointment is a strategic decision aimed at strengthening the company's external image and activating communication with various stakeholders.
A BKR official said, "Jang's extensive experience and expertise will play a significant role in enhancing the brand value of the company and building effective external communication."
Jang Yu-taek said, "I am pleased to start a new challenge at BKR, which operates global food and beverage brands, and I will contribute to growth through communication that brings us closer to consumers and society."
