The premium tequila brand “Hacienda de Tepa,” introduced by the liquor importer YNK, won the grand award in the spirits category at the 2025 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards.
The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is the 12th edition of Korea’s representative liquor competition this year. ChosunBiz has been hosting it annually since 2014 with the goal of “discovering and widely promoting good domestic alcoholic beverages and supporting the formation of a healthy liquor culture.”
This year’s event featured 236 companies submitting a total of 1,008 brands, making it the largest competition for comprehensive liquor in the country. Among these, 431 brands received the grand award.
“Hacienda de Tepa Tequila Blanco,” which won the grand award in the spirits category, is made from carefully selected blue agave grown in the Jalisco region of Mexico. YNK reported that its smooth finish and refreshing citrus aroma harmonize with the flavor of blue agave.
Hacienda de Tepa is increasing its recognition in the domestic market as a sponsor for the welcome reception and B2B networking party at the G-Star international game exhibition last year.
Globally, it has already gained recognition, winning a silver medal at the 2023 American Bartender Spirits Awards and a gold medal at the Monde Selection in 2024.
A YNK official noted, “With the honor of winning the 2025 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards, we expect Hacienda de Tepa to lead the growth of the premium tequila market in the domestic market based on a reasonable price and exceptional quality.”
