Musinsa announced on the 12th that it has discovered an additional 42 brands with issues based on the results of a thorough inspection of the down and cashmere blending rates conducted on its partnered brands.

Since January, Musinsa has requested documentation and test results proving the composition and blending rates for 7,968 down and cashmere products, completing investigations for about 87% of them.

The investigation revealed violations of the safety transaction policy regarding improper labeling and misrepresentation of the blending rates for down or cashmere in 165 products (including different color variations) from 42 brands.

For these brands, a complete sales suspension of all products has been implemented since the 11th. Recall actions are underway for customers who purchased items on the Musinsa and 29CM platforms. Where there are two or more problematic products, sales suspension sanctions of up to 35 days have been enforced.

For brands that submitted insufficient test results, such as unidentifiable product names and require further investigation, a clarification process is in progress.

Musinsa added a notice in banner form within the Musinsa application (app) to help customers easily check related information about the ongoing investigation of down and cashmere products to prevent additional damage.

Since December of last year, Musinsa has continuously disclosed brands and products that violate false advertising regulations across 12 instances. The company is committed to rigorously responding to unfair practices that deceive customers in the future.

A Musinsa official noted, "Musinsa and 29CM will strive to become fashion platforms trusted by both customers and brands," adding, "We hope that our thorough blending rate inspection serves as a signal for healthy and positive changes in the fashion industry."
