Dongwon F&B announced on the 5th that it has undergone a renewal of its popular Denmark processed milk to reduce the sugar content by approximately 20% compared to the average of processed milk in the market (as per Food and Drug Administration standards) in line with the trend towards reduced sugar.

The Denmark processed milk comes in four varieties (Denmark Choco Choco Milk, Denmark Strawberry Strawberry Milk, Denmark Banana Banana Milk, Denmark Coffee Coffee), each adding a sweet flavor of chocolate, strawberry, banana, and coffee to the milk. Launched in 2015, it has recorded cumulative sales of approximately 100 billion won to date.

The key to this renewal is 'sugar reduction.' The sugar content of Denmark's reduced-sugar processed milk is about 20% lower than the market average for processed milk. The sugar content is 7.28g per 100 mL. In the case of Denmark Coffee Coffee, the sugar content is about 50% lower than the average for market coffee (dairy product included), with a sugar content of 4.1g per 100 mL.

Following the launch of the low-sugar liquid yogurt 'Denmark High Yogurt' last year, Dongwon F&B plans to expand its product line that reduces sugar through this renewal of Denmark's reduced-sugar processed milk.

A Dongwon F&B official noted, 'We have dramatically reduced sugar by integrating 40 years of accumulated know-how in dairy manufacturing' and added, 'We will continue to introduce a variety of healthy dairy products.'
