GS Engineering and Construction has obtained the construction rights for the Jamshil Wousung 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reconstruction project in Songpa District, Seoul.
The Jamshil Wousung 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reconstruction association announced on the 13th that it had finalized the selection of GS Engineering and Construction as the construction company through a general meeting of members held on the 12th.
The Jamshil Wousung 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reconstruction project is a project to build an apartment complex with a total of 2,644 households and community facilities, spanning from four underground floors to 49 above-ground floors. The total construction cost is approximately 1.64 trillion won.
In the first bidding held in September last year and the second bidding in May 2025, GS Engineering and Construction participated solely in both. Accordingly, GS Engineering and Construction met the requirements for a negotiated contract and was finalized as the construction company through majority approval in the association's general meeting.
GS Engineering and Construction proposed the complex name as 'Jamshil Xi RIVIELE.' In particular, it aims to develop the complex into a landmark in Jamshil by applying symbolic designs such as ▲ triple sky bridge ▲ maximizing views of the Han River and Tancheon ▲ and the largest community facilities in Jamshil.
'RIVIELE' is a name that combines the French word 'Riviere,' meaning river, and 'Elegance,' meaning elegance. A representative of GS Engineering and Construction explained that it embodies both the geographical symbolism of the convergence of the Han River and Tancheon and a premium lifestyle.
GS Engineering and Construction proposed a construction cost of 8,699,000 won per 3.3 square meters, which is lower than the association's expected price of 920,000 won.
Jamshil Wousung 1st, 2nd, and 3rd is located at the super transport point of the Sports Complex Station, which is a transfer station for subway lines 2 and 9 in Seoul. It is evaluated as a school district complex due to its excellent transportation and proximity to the Daechi-dong academic district.
The association plans to proceed with subsequent procedures such as the construction company contract and integrated review.
The Sindang 10 district redevelopment association also held a general meeting on the same day and selected the GS Engineering and Construction and HDC Hyundai Development Company consortium as the construction company.
The Sindang 10 district, the first project of Seoul's rapid integrated planning, is a redevelopment project on the area of 236-100 Sindang-dong, consisting of 10 buildings and 1,349 households. The total construction cost is 616.8 billion won, of which GS Engineering and Construction's equity is 314.6 billion won.
GS Engineering and Construction, having been selected as the construction company for two projects on that day, achieved an order volume of 1.9573 trillion won in just one day.
