BS Hanyang announced on the 30th that it has recruited Yoon Eul-jin, former CEO of Hanwha Solar Power, as the Director General of its Renewable Energy Division.
Director General Yoon Eul-jin began his renewable energy career in 2008 as the head of the Smart Green Division at LG CNS. He subsequently served as the Executive Director of the Smart Energy Division at KT, as well as the CEO of Qcells Korea and Hanwha Solar Power.
He has accumulated business networks and operational know-how while overseeing solar projects both domestically and internationally. He has also gained diverse experience and expertise across all fields of renewable energy, from solar power to offshore wind, while serving as the CEO of Aewol Offshore Wind.
BS Hanyang is pushing forward with energy projects in various clean energy sectors, including solar power, wind power, LNG, and hydrogen. To strengthen its renewable energy initiatives, it established a dedicated organization called the Renewable Energy Division.
With the recruitment of Director General Yoon, the company plans to diversify its business portfolio from a focus on solar power to include wind power and to pursue various forms of business involving community participation.
In particular, based on a stable business foundation in the construction sector, it aims to elevate its business areas in the renewable energy sector, not only in developing power generation sites but also in project development and operations, aspiring to become a comprehensive energy company leading future energy solutions.
Meanwhile, BS Hanyang is accelerating its project to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) data center and an RE100 industrial complex in 'Solar City' in Haenam, Jeollanam-do, in collaboration with affiliates within the BS Group, such as BS Industry.
