Hanil Cement announced on the 23rd that it held a safety forum at its headquarters in Seocho-dong, Seoul, on the 20th to enhance employees' safety awareness.

Eighteen people attended the event, including Oh Hae-geun, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Safety Officer of Hanil Cement, and plant managers from major production facilities of Hanil Cement and Hanil Hyundai Cement.

At the forum, safety culture consulting experts led a lecture on safety leadership, including managing operational risks and establishing criteria for safety-related decision-making.

Following this, Oh shared Hanil Cement's safety and health management direction and key issues through discussions with executives from all business sites. He noted, "While preventing direct causes of accidents is important, fostering a safety mindset among all employees is paramount," adding, "We will enhance the safety awareness of all employees through continuous education."

Hanil Cement is strengthening its customized safety management system that reflects the characteristics of each business site. Since May, it has been operating an in-house safety instructor training program at key production facilities, including the Danyang plant. It has selected 60 employees from both the company and partner firms to enhance practical safety coaching capabilities in collaboration with professional educational institutions. They are set to implement field-based safety management tailored to team-specific operational characteristics starting in July.
